Stawley Wood is a small family-run working
farm set in the beautiful rolling hills on the Somerset and
Devon border.
Adjacent to the farm house are three interlinked
cottages. The glorious views reach to the Blackdown Hills.
The tranquillity remains undisturbed and is almost tangible
all year round.
This most peaceful setting is complemented by a multitude
of interesting flora and fauna: Stunning white doves,
tame rare-breed miniature Kune-Kune pigs, guinea-fowl, duck,
geese, moorhen, chickens, quail, pheasants, sparrow hawk,
cattle, horses and sheep can be found in and around the place.
You may even see a barn owl. In fact, the RSPB has
identified 8 species of endangered birds on the farm.
All in all,
the farm is as 'away from it all' as possible: perfectly peaceful
and entirely unique.
Three cottages have been sensitively
converted from an old farm building offering 15th century
authenticity with 21st century comfort.
